Urad dal Kachori

Kachori is a spicy snack from the Indian subcontinent; popular in India..


Ingredients Required :

Urad dal 2 cup
Green chilies
ginger garlic paste
heeng / asafoetida
saunf
cumin seeds
red chili powder
chaat masala
wheat flour
oil




Directions

Wash and soak the urad dal for overnight . Drain and Grind coarsely. Take a pan and add 3 tbsp oil. Add heeng, cuminseeds, green chilies (chopped), saunf and urad dal mixture. Stir well (the mixture will be sticky ) Add salt to taste and mix again. When the mixture starts to become pink, take off the heat.

knead the floor (wheat) with 3 tbsp of oil and water to make a stiff dough. Keep aside for 10 minutes.

Make a small ball of the dough, flatten slightly and add the stuffing(1 tbsp). Shape into a ball and roll it. Heat oil and fry the kachori till crisp and golden. Serve hot with aaloo sabji / pickle / chutney !!
